I cannot believe we are heading into week 10 of the College Football season. It’s been a great one so far, and we head into the first weekend of college football with CFB Playoff Rankings on the minds of fans and teams alike.

As a brief reminder, the Buckeyes received the #1 slot in the first ranking behind their solid SoS. The defending champions came in at #2 with an 8-0 record. Michigan and Florida State round out the rankings at 3 and 4 respectively.

These rankings are bound to change as we get into the final weeks of the season and I’m excited to see who gets to participate in the last four team CFP. The Buckeyes won the first and I’d love for them to win the last.

However, this blog isn’t about the CFB Playoffs. It’s about this beautiful board that I cannot wait to destroy with some locks.

Let’s begin.

Notre Dame (15) @ Clemson (ass)

Clemson hosts the 15th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish as 3 point underdogs. Mental Midget Dabo is struggling to cope with the fact that Clemson fans expect them to win football games (shocker). I cannot wait to see his sad 4-4 ass sprint onto the field ahead of his team as he craves the attention of the fans that he just explicitly told were part of the problem. I’m sure that will go well.

Notre Dame is playing some good football since their loss to Louisville. I have to think that they’re kicking themselves in the butt for dropping that game. With a win there, they’re likely sitting in that 7-9 slot with a great chance to sneak into the CFB Playoffs as the season unfolds.

This is going to be an easy pick for me. Clemson simply isn’t on the same level as the Irish, their coach is picking fights with college kids who are upset they aren’t winning #TeamTyler, and I trust Sam Hartman to win on the road and keep the good vibes going for Notre Dame.

I’m taking the Irish -3 and wouldn’t be surprised if they run them off the field.

The Pick: Notre Dame -3

Texas A&M @ Ole Miss (10)

Ole Miss has been hanging out in the shadows of the SEC. While the world talks about Georgia, Alabama, and LSU, the Rebels sit at 7-1 with a head to head against Georgia left on the schedule. They’re still in a position to play with the big boys if they win out. A tall task? Absolutely. But, it starts with the game in front of you and I expect them to be fired up to take on the frisky A&M Aggies.

At only 2.5 points, I feel really good about Ole Miss covering at home. I’m riding with Kiffin and the Rebels to get a big win before the major matchup with the Bulldogs next week.

The Pick: Ole Miss -2.5

Missouri (12) @ Georgia (2)

SEC heavyweights go head to head in Georgia’s toughest game to date. Missouri has had a great season so far with it’s only loss coming against a solid LSU squad. Georgia currently sit at 15 point favorites in the SEC East showdown.

I’m still waiting to see how this Georgia offense performs in big matchups without Brock Bowers. Carson Beck looked good against Florida, but Missouri should be a tougher game with much higher stakes. This will be Missouri’s Super Bowl and could have major implications as the SEC divisions shape up.

I’m going to trust Missouri to keep this game close enough to cover, but expect Georgia to win.

The pick: Missouri +15

Washington (5) @ USC (20)

This line confuses me. I know Washington hasn’t played great football as of late, but USC has proven to be an average football team at best. Washington will be the best program they’ve faced all year and I do not believe their offense will be enough to keep this game close. While USC’s ultimate goal is now unattainable, Washington is still very much so in the mix for a National Championship shot.

Penix should have a field day with that USC secondary. Give me the Huskies to cover -3 with ease. I also love the under 76.5 because why the Hell not? This is America. Show some pride and defend.

The pick: Washington -3 and Under 76.5

LSU (14) @ Alabama (8)

LSU is likely the best two loss team in the country (maybe Notre Dame) and their CFB Playoff hopes are hanging on by a thread. One of the things that MUST happen is winning on the road against Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide. Sounds easy to me.

It seems the perception of Alabama football is starting to change. Early in the season it seemed they were in for a long year (long year in terms of Alabama football). They dropped the big non conference game against Texas and followed that up with a hilarious 17-3 win over South Florida. But, since then, Saban has seemed to find his mojo with a handful of ranked wins and has a great opportunity to strengthen their resume with a win over LSU.

This matchup is perfect. The drama from last year’s game that ended in a 34-33 win for the Tigers. The conference and playoff implications. The 7:45 kickoff. It has all the makings to be one of the best games of the year.

When considering these games where the teams seem evenly matched and the stakes are high, I usually ask myself one big question… Which quarterback do I trust more.

For me, that is Jayden Daniels by a mile.

That is why I’m taking the Tigers not just to cover, but to win outright under the bright lights in Tuscaloosa.

The pick: LSU ML +136

Rapid Fire Picks!!!

There is so much I like this week, I want to do a rapid fire of some plays off that I like…

Nebraska -3

Kansas ML +124

NC State ML +180

Oregon State/Colorado U61.5

Wrapping Up

I mentioned in my last blog that it was a LONG.ASS.WEEK. When the wife asked if we could do a whole lot of nothing this weekend, it was music to my ears. I’ll be glued to the couch with a beer in hand all day.

You can track all of these plays over at action network @FTSgambling. We will be breaking down our results and reactions on the Inside the Tank Podcast releasing on Monday. All of these bets were placed around 2PM EST on 11/3 so lines may be subject to change.

Let’s have ourselves a damn weekend.

Till next time,
