We are switching up the style of these weekly draft results articles. We had been releasing an article with the draft results, and then separate articles with analysis on our picks. It felt a bit clunky, so we are going to make it a one-stop shop for you all.

As a reminder, Owen and I are doing a weekly draft of our favorite favorite, top dawg, over, and under. It’s a snake draft with the first pick alternating each week. We keep a running score and the winner at the end of the year gets a jersey courtesy of the loser.

Let’s get into the picks.

Pick #1 – Matt – Chargers -3

The Packers suck.

The Chargers are fun, but also kind of suck.

I’m taking the fun sucky team to cover three points (kind of think they might blow them out) against the not fun sucky team. #analysis

Pick #2 – Owen – Cowboys -10.5

The Boys are rolling.

There’s nothing the Boys like more than just piling it on teams that suck (that aren’t named the Cardinals)

The Panthers are awful. I love to see it. Fade Frank Reich. Fade Tiny Tim at QB.

Boys are covering this with ease. Cooper Rush will be in before you know it while Dak rests for Turkey Day.

Pick #3 – Owen – Eagles +2.5

SB rematch & I’ve got the Eagles in this one.

While Jason Kelce is at home taking care of his family on the bye week, Travis is jumping on planes to south of the equator to please the paparazzi and unruly Swifties.

Can you imagine the chaos if HE DIDNT USE HIS BYE WEEK TO SEE TAYLOR?!?!

Unpopular opinion but the Chiefs are a cupcake 7-2. Congrats on beating the Broncos, Vikings, Jets, Bears and Chargers!

Mahomes only receiver is a TE who plays awful when T Swizzy is away. T Swizzy isn’t gonna be around this time

Too many distractions with the meeting of the families in the press box.

Give me the Eagles

Pick #4 – Matt – Vikings/Broncos U43.5

The Josh Dobbs story is a fascinating one, but I’m not sure the magic can last forever. He finds himself against a Broncos team that seems to have found new life in the back half of the season with three straight wins, two of which came against the Chiefs and the Bills. With the Bronco’s defense playing well, I expect this to be a good game, but I don’t expect it to be a shootout.

Pick #5 – Matt – Steelers/Browns O33

Death. Taxes. Browns Pain. Deshaun is out and DTR now has the keys for the Browns as they fight for the playoffs. Unfortunately, he gets to face one of the league’s best defenses. Welcome to the league, kid.

This was simply a “have to bet it for fun” bet for me. 33 points is hilarious. The world doesn’t believe in Kenny Pickett and DTR in the slightest.

The turnover battle and field position in this game will be crucial. Both defenses are dangerous and can get to the QB and cause havoc all game. I think some favorable field position-off turnovers could lead to some easy points on the board for both teams.

I’ve got the Browns winning this “first to 20 wins” matchup in a close 20-17 win for the Browns rookie QB.

Pick #6 – Owen – Eagles/Chiefs U45.5

Rinse and repeat. MNF unders are a lock no matter who is playing.

I’m rolling with this bet on the under until I lose.. and even then.. I might just keep hammering it.

Pick #7 – Owen – Jets/Bills O40

I don’t know why I put myself in a position to rely on Zach Wilson for points. I give the kid a shot & he just never plays like the guy who did the really cool pass in his pro day.

People are out on the Bills. I am not people.

I think this week is a bounce back week. A 31-10 bounce back type of week.

I need points Josh Allen. I need them now.

Pick #8 – Matt – Raiders +13

Ever since Josh McDaniels left town, the Raiders have won two straight. I understand it was against Tommy Devito and Zach Wilson, but wins are wins. I’m still not convinced that Tommy Devito is a real person.

Thirteen points felt like a lot to me. I know the Dolphins can put up points quick, fast, and in a hurry, but I’m starting to feel like they may be frauds. They only seem to blow out the really bad teams, and I’m not sure the Raiders are considered “really bad”. Maybe just bad.

Give me the Raiders to backdoor cover here and lose by 10.

Wrapping Up

Owen still holds a comfortable lead in our head-to-head battle. 30 to 23.5 is the current score and all hope is starting to go down the drain for ole Matty Blogs.

It’s starting to look more and more like I’m buying the man a jersey of his choosing. While I’ve been hot in the NFL, it’s starting to look like an insurmountable mountain. No way that is the right way of saying that… insurmountable mountain? Doesn’t sound right at all. Who gives a toot? Not me.

Browns are going to smack the Squeelers around the gridiron with a rookie QB and I’ll be enjoying every second of the inevitable shit show.

Let’s cash some bets and end the day in the green.

Till next time,

Matty Blogs and Big O
