There is not a better weekend in College Football than rivalry weekend. Hatred is in the air across the country and lifelong rivals take the field for the final week of regular season football. We are blessed with some great Friday matchups ahead of the Saturday slate and I have my eyes on a few plays.

Let’s begin.

Iowa (17) @ Nebraska

Spread: Nebraska -2.5

Total: O/U26

You just stood in line at Best Buy at 4AM to buy a TV you don’t really need. You’re tired. Your stomach is still stuffed from the Thanksgiving food you obliterated the night before. You need sleep and I’ve got the medicine for you. It’s Iowa and Nebraska’s offensive units going head-to-head at noon.

The O/U is currently at 26. TWENTY SIX. It’s beautiful. It’s Big Ten football in all of its glory. And, as low as that total is, I’m still playing the under. This game might end with a final score of 10-3 and I’m here for all the sloppiness.

The pick: U26

Penn State (11) @ Michigan State

Spread: PSU -21

Total: O/U 43.5

Michigan State is at a low point in their program right now. They’re bad and get to finish off this season at home against the 11th ranked Nittany Lions.

I’m taking Penn State to cover the 21 point spread. I’m looking at MSU’s performance against some of the top ranked programs and here is how they faired…

Washington 41 – Michigan State 7

Michigan 49 – Michigan State 0

Michigan State 3 – Ohio State 38

They’ve struggled to reach double digits in almost every major matchup and I cannot image that changes against Penn States solid defensive unit. Give me PSU in a blowout.

The pick: PSU -21

Oregon State (16) @ Oregon (6)

Spread: Oregon -13.5

Total: O/U62.5

Oregon is one of the hottest programs in the country right now and they have one last matchup in their way before a rematch with the Washington Huskies for the Pac12 championship.

I am surprised this spread is sitting just shy of two full scores after Oregon State went toe to toe with Washington just last week. I like Oregon State to keep this close on the road, but expect Oregon to walk away with a win as they set their eyes towards a Pac12 championship and possible CFP birth.

The pick: Oregon State +14 (buy the half)
