I’ve been a piece of poop lately. Life has a way of getting busy and it has made the blog and socials pretty quiet. But fear not, for we are back. It’s insane that we are entering week 15 of the NFL season. With four games left on the schedule for every team, the Playoff Machine is getting used bye fans across the country trying to figure out the perfect formula to get their team dancing.

As a reminder, Owen and I do a weekly draft of our favorite favorite, top dawg, over, and under. It’s a snake draft with the first pick alternating each week. We keep a running score and the winner at the end of the year gets a jersey courtesy of the loser.

Let’s get into the picks.

Pick #1 – Colts/Steelers U42

After back to back weeks of riding with MNF under and taking a big fat L, I’m moving off of it and going back to my gut.

This game has massive implications on the playoff picture. Both teams sit at 7-6 and need a high quality win on the books as they advance into the backend of the season.

I’m worried about the Colts offense going up against that Steelers defense, mainly because of the disruption they can cause for opposing QBs. Gardner Minshew has had a case of happy feet this year and tends to abandon the pocket early, even when things have not broken down.

Pair that with the rough Steelers offense, I can see this being a sloppy game featuring a lot of stalled drives resulting in punts or field goals.

Pick #2 – Owen – Dolphins -8.5

The Dolphins love to bully bad teams (most of the time).

Last time we saw this matchup, the Dolphins had their way with the Jets on Black Friday while we were all shopping our asses off.

Sure.. Tyreek is a little banged up, but who isn’t at this point in the season? Give me the Dolphins in a bully beatdown

Pick #3 – Owen – Cowboys +2.5

Listen. The Boys are going to the Super Bowl. It’s funny to see them be DAWGS after a beatdown of the Eagles.

The Bills have been looking better.. but better enough to be 2.5 point favorites?

I might get cute and throw this on an alt-spread Cowboys -5.5 or something. But for the purpose of this challenge, I’ll keep the underdog status

Pick #4 – Matt – Bears/Browns O37.5

The Browns are battling a terrible injury bug heading into this matchup, and I’m not bought in on the Bears defense keeping up with their recent efforts. Not to mention the fact that MVP Joe Flacco just signed a contract with the Browns and will be fully locked and loaded for the rest of the season.

I don’t expect a shootout, but 37.5 feels low considering the Browns recent struggles on defense.

Pick #5 – Matt – Bills -2.5

If you listened to the pod this week, you know I’m 100% bought in on the Bills and they are my dark horse to win the Super Bowl this year. I know, I know. The Cowboys are HOT. Dak MVP SZN is well underway.

But, in a story that has stood the test of time, the Cowboys are due for a let down. Buffalo will be rowdy in what feels like a must win game for the Bills.

Pick #6 – Owen – Bills/Boys O50.5

Yeah that’s right. We are picking all sides of this game.

While Matt gets dominated by fading me, this is gonna be a high scoring game. Even if Matt somehow wins this bet, it’s still going to be high scoring

Points. Points. Points. Considering calling this the lock of 2023. Idk. Should I?

Pick #7 – Owen – Eagles/Seahawks U47.5

I have been approached by my family recently for my addiction to MNF unders.

It was fun in the beginning. The unders were 13-1 to start the season in MNF.

Along comes Matt. Decides to cuck me & take the under from me. Over hits immediately. I take back the reigns & we get 2 MNF matchups.. BOTH OVERS HIT. Thanks Matt

But this addiction is hard to shake. Mom, I promise I won’t bet this again if it doesn’t hit.

Pick #8 – Matt – Giants +6

Tommy Devito magic must continue. The story is too fun. Something I never thought I would say.
