My Brownies are in a win and get in Thursday night football game against the down and out Jets. What could go wrong?

With Joe Flacco MVP SZN well underway, the Browns enter the matchup as 7 point favorites at home.

While this is a completely different year, I still have nightmares of last years head to head with the Jets. A young and hungry QB by the name of Joseph Flacco staged a late comeback, scoring twice in the last 60 seconds of the game to edge out a win for the New York Jets.

Many wondered if the Jets would give Flacco another shot after Rodgers went down early in the season and the backups struggled to produce, but Flacco never got that call.

I typically stay away from betting on the spread when it involves my teams, but I’d stay away from the 7 point line either way.

However, I have a few player props in this game that I really like. Let’s find some winners, shall we?

Elijah Moore Anytime Touchdown +360

Flacco isn’t the only player looking for revenge against the Jets. Elijah Moore has something to prove as well after the Jets shipped Moore away this past offseason after 2 seasons in Green and White.

Maybe this is a bet from the heart, but there would be something poetic about Flacco and Moore connecting against their former team.

I’m putting half a unit (0.5U) and hoping for the feel good story to come true.

Breece Hall O45.5 Rushing Yards

Cleveland’s defense at home this year has been ridiculously good. The Jets would be wise to try and get the run game going instead of testing the Browns secondary and allowing Myles Garrett to wreak havoc in the backfield.

Breece Hall is a home run hitter and can break one off at any second. He’s coming off a high volume and high output performance against the Commanders and I would expect the Jets to try to mimic that on Thursday night. Putting a unit (1U) on the over here.

Cedrick Tillman O21.5 Receiving Yards

Tillman has emerged as the WR3 having an increased role since Donovan Peoples Jones was traded at the deadline.

He’s exceeded 21.5 yards in 3/5 last games and will likely draw some favorable matchups with Amari Cooper and Njoku drawing more eyes from the Jets solid secondary.

Amari Cooper O58.5 Receiving Yards

The Browns have leaned into Joe Flacco with a “Let it fly” mentality and Amari Cooper has been the beneficiary of that.

Aside from a 34 yard performance against the Rams (Flacco’s first start), Cooper has been well above the 58.5 yard marker and is coming off an 11 catch 265 yard performance.

The chemistry is clearly there, but will be tested against the Jets stout secondary lead by Sauce Gardner. I’m confident Cooper will produce and exceed that 58.5 yards by quite a bit. Throwing a unit on it.

Wrapping Up

I’m on vacation and was excited to have some time to sit and write and fill my mind with football stuff. I discovered 15 minutes into the drive that I did not have my laptop charger… this is my nightmare.

Nevertheless, I ripped this bad boy out on my cell phone because I care.

Hoping the Browns clinch a playoff birth on Thursday and Devin Brown leads the Buckeyes to a Cotton Bowl victory and I can spend my vacation happy and full of joy.

Let’s finish the 2023 gambling year on a strong note!

Till next time,
