First things first.. we suck at this consistency thing with the blog. We failed our valued readers/listeners last week by not posting our regular NFL blog. We promise to be better. We have to be better.

To catch you up – Matt and I (Owen) have been running a friendly competition this NFL season with betting lines. Each week, we would snake draft a favorite, dog, over and under. A jersey of our choice was on the line.

Going into Week 18 – the competition sat at 43 to 40.5 in favor of myself. This left room for Matt to have a really good week & I to have a really bad week to result in a Matt victory. This was what had happened 3 weeks in a row before this final week.

To lock it up, I needed to go 2-2 OR just needed Matt to go 2-2 or worse. Lucky for me – both happened.

So there you have it. I am now in the stage of debating which jersey I should go with. What do I have Matt buy me?

I had visions of going to Lucas Oil Stadium this upcoming weekend in a wildcard matchup against the Browns (Matt’s team) and watching Matt swipe his credit card in the Colts Pro Shop on a fresh Colts jersey just minutes before kickoff.

Instead – the Colts missed the playoffs & it has now become the smart move to just hold off on the purchase until further notice.

When it comes to jerseys, I am very picky on the selection. While this time it is not my own money, I am just not the guy to buy a Minshew jersey or whoever isn’t a secure starter. I want a jersey that will last at least a few seasons. Lucky for me – there are very few options to select from with this criteria considering the fact I invested in an Anthony Richardson jersey before the season.

So TBD on the selection I make. FA and the draft may have something to say or I just play it safe with JT. But when the time comes, I will be sure to document the journey.

Wrapping Up

It was a great NFL regular season. Plenty of football to be watched and gambled on, but it is coming to an end very soon. We will do our very best to turn out some content for you. We are still finding our style, our voice, our content, etc. but promise to go into 2024 season with a true plan. For now – let’s just have some fun
