What a damn week of CFB we have in front of us. I’ll be traveling to Columbus to watch the Buckeyes take on MSU but we will get in town early so we can watch some of the marquee matchups during the day.

Plenty of ranked matchups and drama galore as we head into week 10 of the college football season. 3 more regular season games until we get into post-season college football. I’m not crying, you are.

Last week I went a little crazy on bets. There wasn’t a game on the docket that I didn’t throw some cheddar on. I’ll be a bit more selective this week. *giggles*

Let’s begin…

Michigan (3*) @ Penn State (10)

Michigan travels to Penn State in a massive matchup that could make the Big 10 a murky mess depending on the results.

Michigan has been dominant this year with huge wins over The Boys and Girls Club of Canada, Bellamy Creek Corrections Facility, and West Chester Junior High’s B Team.

In what should be their first true test, Michigan will be without their fearless khaki-wearing leader, Jim Harbaugh. Not only will they need to block out the noise of the ongoing investigation, they’ll need to block out the loud and rowdy crowd at Beaver Stadium who are itching for an upset to get them back in the playoff hunt.

As a Buckeye, it pains me to say, but I think the Wolverines will have their way with the Nittany Lions. It feels like UM is using the drama surrounding their program as motivation. As a student-athlete, if all I heard was talk about my play being the product of cheating, I would want nothing more than to prove on the field that my team was the real deal. And I believe Michigan is.

I was impressed with Penn States big win over Maryland last week, but they’re facing a whole different animal in Michigan. After seeing Allar and Penn States performance against Ohio States elite defense, I worry that we will see some similar struggles against the talented Michigan defensive unit.

I’m riding Michigan -4 in this one.

The Pick: Cheaters -4

Utah (18) @ Washington (5)

A few weeks ago I took Oregon ATS against Utah and it wasn’t even close. I do not trust in Utah’s offense to produce well enough to stick with these high powered Pac12 teams (unless you’re USC).

I’m riding that same thought in this one. The spread sits at +8.5 and Washington is well aware that their CFP hopes rely on a win at home against the Utes, and a big ranked win would bode well for them in the fight for the 4th spot that is currently occupied by Florida State.

Penix and company will be ready to meet the moment and continue their undefeated season as we inch closer to conference championships.

The Pick: Washington -8.5

Ole Miss (9) @ Georgia (2)

The defending champs will play host to the Ole Miss Rebels in another top-10 matchup. Georgia fended off Missouri last week and the Rebels squeezed out a win against Texas A&M.

Another matchup that could shape the conference championship picture and CFB Playoffs.

Georgia has won every game by a full score or more this season and opens up as 11-point favorites at home. I was surprised to see such a high spread, especially after Missouri kept it within 10 last week and the implications of the game would tend to point towards a more tightly contested matchup.

I like Ole Miss to make this a dawg fight (pun intended) on the road. Georgia has proven they can move on without Brock Bowers, but Ole Miss is no pushover and should be able to keep this at a similar distance that Missouri did.

The Pick: Ole Miss +11

Rapid Fire Picks!

Here are some other games I’m playing for the weekend!

Alabama -11

Kansas -4

Maryland -2.5

NC State ML -125

Rutgers ML +100

Wrapping Up

I’m excited to see my second game in The Shoe this weekend. While it may not be an elite matchup, I don’t think there is a better place to be in the world than Columbus, OH on gameday.

We will be getting in early to see the Penn State vs. Michigan and partake in some adult beverages. This might finally be the weekend that I defeat beer. Will report back on the podcast on Monday. Be sure to tune into Inside the Tank to hear us break down the weekend slate and the results from these mortal locks above.

Till next time,
